Financial Aid
I want to attend the Institute, how do I pay for it?
A student's eligibility for assistance, and how much may be available, is evaluated and determined on an individual basis, privately and impartially. Financial Aid program guidelines are set by the United States Department of Education. Financial aid programs include the following:
- Federal Pell Grants
This is a "grant" from the Federal Government that does not need to be repaid. Eligibility for this grant is determined by the student's financial need."
- Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG)
Another type of grant that does not need to be repaid. The amount of this grant is also determined by the student's "financial need."
- Direct Loans, Perkins or FFEL Loans
Loans are made available to students. Some loans are administered directly by the United States Department of Education. All loans need to be repaid after graduation. There are also a variety of grace periods depending on loan type.
- Tuition Payments to the Institute or Private Educational Loans
Payments made directly to the Institute are interest free. Loans made through a private financing company carry a very low interest rate. Having good or bad credit will not affect your eligibility for these types of loans or payment arrangements.
