North-West College offers $250,000 in scholarships through its Success Education Program!

North-West College offers a variety of different scholarships to help students go to college.

First-Time College Attendee Scholarship:

Applicant must be the first person in his/her immediate family (parents and siblings) to pursue a college degree and this must be the first degree program that the applicant has pursued.

Scholarship value: $2,500

Hispanic Student Scholarship:

Applicant must be of Hispanic heritage, fluent in Spanish and English, and a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.

Scholarship value: $2,500

African American Student Scholarship:

Applicant must be of African American heritage, and a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.

Scholarship value: $2,500

Asian and Pacific Islander Student Scholarship:

Applicant must be of Asian heritage, and a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.

Scholarship value: $2,500

Native American Student Scholarship:

Applicant must be of Native American heritage, and a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.

Scholarship value: $2,500

Single Parent Scholarship:

Applicant must be the single custodial parent for a child under the age of 18 (proof required) and be presently single, divorced, or widowed.

Scholarship value: $2,500

Professional Women’s Scholarship:

Applicant must be female, age 25 or older, and pursuing their first associate’s degree.

Scholarship value: $2,500

 

 

 

Professional Men’s Scholarship:

Applicant must be male, age 25 or older, and pursuing their first associate’s degree.

Scholarship value: $2,500

Leadership and Armed Forces Scholarship:

Applicant must have demonstrated leadership experience and/or have served in our armed forces.

Scholarship value: $2,500

Future in Nursing Scholarship:

Applicant must demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA process, express a desire to eventually go into the nursing profession, and enroll in one of the college’s health care programs.

Scholarship value: $2,500

Moms in Health Care Scholarship:

Applicant must be female, have children under the age of 18, demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA process, and enroll in one of the College’s health care programs.

Scholarship value: $2,500

Entrepreneur Scholarship:

Applicant must enroll in one of the College’s programs with an entrepreneurial opportunity, such as Massage Therapy, and submit a draft business plan.

Scholarship value: $2,500

Health Care Provider Scholarship:

Applicant must enroll in a health care program and demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA process.

Scholarship value: $2,500

Health Care Administrator Scholarship:

Applicant must enroll in an IT program, demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA process, and earn at least one vendor certification before graduation.

Scholarship value: $2,500

Build a Better Future Scholarship:

Applicant must have successfully completed the College’s GED prep classes and apply for the scholarship within 30 days of earning their GED diploma.

Scholarship value: $2,500

 

Scholarships and financial aid available to those who qualify. Scholarships have specific eligibility criteria and may only be awarded after application, determination of eligibility, and selection by the Scholarship Committee.

Yes. The deadline is based on your start date. An applicant for a scholarship must submit all of the required paperwork at least one week prior to starting school.

Yes. You can apply for more than one type of scholarship award, but you may only receive one award from the College. You cannot receive multiple scholarship awards from the College.

Yes. You can apply for as many scholarship awards as you are eligible, but you can only receive one award.

Number and Amounts FAQ

Yes, we can provide updates upon request regarding the number and type of scholarships awarded at each of our campuses.

No. The scholarship fund is limited to $250,000.

No. Each scholarship award is for a specific amount. See specific scholarship details above.

No. Since scholarship awards are made throughout the year, the amount available for the year is reduced as awards are made.

We want to help as many people as possible attend college and change their lives!

General FAQ

No. The scholarship awards are applied to your tuition charges.

No. Scholarship awards are only applied to tuition charges.

No. Our scholarship awards may only be used at our family of colleges. The scholarship awards are not transferable to other colleges.

No. Scholarship awards are not credited toward tuition charges unless the student graduates. If a scholarship recipient does not graduate, he/she loses their scholarship award.

Yes. Most of the scholarship awards require you to maintain a certain GPA to keep the scholarship award. See details above for each scholarship type.

Yes. Most of the scholarship awards require you have good attendance to keep the scholarship award. See details above for each scholarship award type.

The College has a Scholarship Committee that reviews applications, verifies eligibility, and selects award recipients.

Yes. Eligibility for our Adult Scholarships is not based upon any testing.

No. Our Adult Scholarship awards are not based upon any grades that earned before.
