GED Preparation
We encourage all students to consider earning
their GED prior to graduation.
GED stands for General Education Development and is a nationally recognized certificate of High School equivalency. Even though many of the programs offered at Nevada Career Institute do not require a GED or high school diploma, we encourage all students to consider earning their GED prior to graduation.

Nevada Career Institute has built the Bridge Program for adults without a high school diploma or GED who are seeking admission to a career training program or receiving the necessary skills to enter the workforce. With the Bridge to Success Program you have three options to complete your educational goals and get started on your path to a new career. These options are:
  • Option 1: Pay as you go plan—start now!
  • Option 2: Free GED Tutoring
  • Option 3: Online High School Diploma!
OPTION 1: PAY AS YOU GO PLAN:
Using Option 1, non high school graduates can enter certain programs at NCI right away without obtaining a GED or having a high school diploma. (Vocational Nursing, Surgical Technology and Pharmacy Technician programs are not eligible for this option). This option requires:
  • A down payment of $2500
  • Monthly payments of $300 thereafter until fully paid

OPTION 2: FREE GED TUTORING
Sessions are non-graded and are open entry/open exit, which means you can start anytime! These are self paced instructional modules. Sessions are divided into 5 modules – these are:

GED prep in Writing, Social Studies, Science, Reading and Math!

Students take individual areas of need or as a whole. Students are given:
  • Individualized attention
  • Flexible hours
  • Study Tools/Study Guides
  • Practice Exams
  • Help with GED Registration
Bring the following documents into your Admissions Representative:
  • NV Drivers license or Identification Card
  • 2 Sets of your high school transcripts (official or unofficial is acceptable)

OPTION 3: ONLINE HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA
Ed2go CAREER ONLINE HIGH SCHOOL is a fast-track Advanced/SAC-accredited program that helps adults earn their high school diploma. This option is best for students who left High School in their junior or senior year. This program offers:
  • Earn 18 high school credits
  • Master computer and job related skills
  • 14 credits (“C” or higher) can be transferred from another accredited high school
  • Complete 2-4 courses per month
  • Those who transfer in with the maximum credits can graduate in 3-4 months
  • Low monthly payments as low as $77.00 with balance due upon completion
  • Anytime access to courses
  • Tools to track progress
  • Academic support
  • Online resources
