Nevada Career Institute Now Enrolling for New Pharmacy Technician Program
Program Demonstrates NCI’s Continued Commitment to Providing Quality Education
LAS VEGAS, Nevada—Nevada Career Institute (NCI) is once again expanding its programs for students by adding the Pharmacy Technician Program to its list of offerings. Classes are currently enrolling for this new program, which will offer the same dynamic learning environment NCI is so well known for.
“Bringing the Pharmacy Technician Program to Nevada Career Institute addresses a growing need in the community for well-trained Pharmacy Technicians,” explained Divisional Director of Operations Jeff Akens. “We are excited to be able to offer this training option to individuals who are hoping to enter the pharmaceutical field.”
From collecting prescription information to measuring medication and organizing inventory, Pharmacy Technicians are a vital part of the pharmacy and health care team. A growing aging population with a greater demand for prescription medications along with advances in pharmaceutical medicine all translate to an increasing demand for trained and licensed Pharmacy Technicians. The new Pharmacy Technician Program at NCI addresses this need directly, pairing in-class instruction with hands-on learning opportunities so students graduate with the practical skills they need to succeed in the field and enter the world of work.
