NWC Chief Operating Officer Beylor Meza Named to CAPPS Executive Committee

SACRAMENTO, Calif.—The California Association of Private Postsecondary Schools (CAPPS) recently announced that Beylor Meza, Chief Operating officer for North-West College, would be joining its board’s Executive Committee. With more than 200 member institutions, CAPPS has advocated for the interests of private, postsecondary institutions in California for 50 years.

“I am honored to join CAPPS’ Executive Committee and am grateful for the chance to contribute to an organization that has done tremendous work for our sector of education,” explained Meza.

Led by Executive Director Robert Johnson, CAPPS has worked with California Governors, the State Legislature and other elected officials, and a number of regulatory agencies that oversee the sector. The organization aims to shine a light on the needs of all its members, keeping them at the forefront of the sector—whether small approved schools or large publicly traded institutions. In addition to its advocacy efforts, CAPPS also offers a number of professional development opportunities for its members.

CAPPS’ Executive Committee serves as a steering committee for the entire Board of Directors. It examines the organization’s progress toward goals and provides valuable oversight—ensuring the institution remains true to its mission.

“I’m excited to serve with an organization that has consistently demonstrated its heart and vision for our sector of education,” Meza shared. “Their tireless efforts have made it possible for North-West College and so many others to continue to change lives through quality career education.”
